Đã có nhiều bài viết về Côn Đảo cũng như nhiều topic chia sẻ kinh nghiệm của các bạn từng đến nơi này, tuy nhiên theo như mình tìm hiểu thì đa số thông tin đã tương đối cũ. Bản thân mình vừa đi Côn Đảo về nên muốn cung cấp thêm một số thông tin mới hơn, hy vọng chúng sẽ hữu ích với những ai đang dự định đến thăm hòn đảo hoang sơ xinh đẹp này.

1. ĐẾN CÔN ĐẢO BẰNG GÌ

Hiện giờ có thể đi bằng máy bay hoặc tàu đến Côn Đảo.

* TÀU: không chạy hàng ngày nên các bạn phải liên hệ trước để đặt vé và xem lịch tàu chạy. Vì mình không đi bằng tàu nên cũng không tìm hiểu nhiều về phương tiện này. Tuy nhiên, các bạn có thể tìm kiếm trên các diễn đàn hoặc trên Google với từ khóa "Tàu đi Côn Đảo". Tàu khởi hành buổi chiều, sáng hôm sau mới đến nơi, vì thế những ai muốn tận hưởng cảm giác lênh đênh trên biển vào ban đêm thì nên chọn phương tiện này. Và tất nhiên đi tàu là cách tiết kiệm tiền nhất!

Nếu chọn đi tàu, các bạn có thể đem theo xe máy. Bến khởi hành nằm ở Vũng Tàu, có tên là cảng Cát Lở, các bạn có thể chạy xe xuống Vũng Tàu rồi gửi xe theo, để ra Côn Đảo có xe đi ngay. Bến tàu ở Côn Đảo là cảng Bến Đầm, cách trung tâm khoảng 12km. Như mình đã nói, do đi máy bay nên mình không rõ là trong trường hợp không tự mang xe máy theo thì khi đến nơi, ta sẽ di chuyển về trung tâm bằng cách nào.

* MÁY BAY: Vietnam Airlines và Air Mekong đang khai thác tuyến này. Giá vé của hai hãng tương đương nhau, nhưng thi thoảng Air Mekong rẻ hơn và có nhiều chương trình khuyến mãi hơn. Mình mua được vé khuyến mãi của Air Mekong, 1 triệu/vé cho cả chiều đi và chiều về. Vậy nên những ai có ít thời gian thì chọn máy bay là nhanh nhất, và nếu có thể mua được vé khuyến mãi nữa thì tuyệt vời.

Sân bay Côn Sơn (trước tên là Cỏ Ống) cách trung tâm khoảng 15km, nhưng các bạn yên tâm là có khá nhiều xe trung chuyển đưa đón khách từ sân bay về trung tâm và ngược lại. Giá chính thức là 50k/người (tại thời điểm cuối năm 2012, mình đọc các bài cũ thì thấy giá là 30k). Khi ra khỏi sân bay, các bạn sẽ thấy vài chiếc xe 16 đến 24 chỗ, chiếc nào cũng có tên công ty du lịch hay khách sạn, resort. Bạn cứ chọn một chiếc mà nhảy lên, dù là xe của ai thì cũng phải trả tiền như nhau, và các xe này hoạt động như xe bus thôi. Tuy nhiên, nếu các bạn đi vào mùa cao điểm du lịch thì khi đặt phòng khách sạn nhớ nói họ đặt giúp xe đưa đón sân bay trước, kẻo xe nào cũng đầy khách, các bạn sẽ phải bắt taxi về (mà giá cước taxi thì không rẻ chút nào, về đến trung tâm hết khoảng 250k-300k). Đối với các resort, họ có xe riêng đưa đón khách nhưng hầu như vẫn tính phí chứ không miễn phí!

2. NÊN ĐI CÔN ĐẢO VÀO THỜI GIAN NÀO?

Thời gian được xem là đẹp nhất để đi Côn Đảo là từ tháng Mười đến tháng Tư. Thời tiết ở Côn Đảo cũng có hai mùa mưa nắng, không khác biệt nhiều so với Sài Gòn. Vậy nên thời gian từ tháng Mười đến tháng Tư đang là mùa khô, thuận tiện cho việc đi lại. Và những tháng đầu năm, Côn Đảo sẽ vào mùa du lịch.

Thật sự thì mình thấy dù thời gian nào ta cũng có thể ra Côn Đảo chơi, bất kể mùa mưa hay mùa khô. Mỗi mùa Côn Đảo lại mang một nét đẹp riêng. Chỉ có điều, khi thời tiết xấu thì tàu dễ bị hủy chuyến hơn máy bay. Và trong trường hợp thời tiết cực xấu thì cả máy bay cũng bị hủy luôn. Lúc đó những ai còn ở lại Côn Đảo hãy chuẩn bị tinh thần để chịu cảnh chặt chém nhé.

Côn Đảo hiện giờ có kha khá khách sạn, nhà nghỉ nhưng vẫn không nhiều như ở các thành phố du lịch Vũng Tàu, Đà Lạt, Nha Trang... Do đó, vào mùa cao điểm du lịch thì nhất định các bạn phải đặt phòng trước.

3. Ở ĐÂU TRÊN CÔN ĐẢO?

Các bạn nên lưu ý là giá phòng tại Côn Đảo khá đắt so với ở những nơi khác. Ở thời điểm cuối năm 2012, giá phòng thấp nhất là 350k/phòng 2 người. Từ 350k đến 400k/phòng là giá chung của hầu hết các nhà nghỉ, khách sạn mini.

Do thời gian mình đi chưa vào mùa cao điểm nên không rõ vào mùa cao điểm có xảy ra tình trạng nâng giá hay không. Nếu các bạn ở dài ngày hoặc đi đông người thì tất nhiên có thể trả giá thấp hơn,nhưng chắc là không thể giảm nhiều vì giá điện ở Côn Đảo khá cao.

Các bạn có thể tìm thông tin về các nhà nghỉ, khách sạn mini trên mạng vì chúng được quảng cáo khá nhiều. Nếu muốn vị trí đẹp thì các bạn nên chọn ở ngay trước bãi biển, trên trục đường TÔN ĐỨC THẮNG, và tất nhiên là giá sẽ cao hơn các khách sạn nằm những tuyến đường phía trong. Nhưng thực tế thì các bạn cũng không có nhiều lựa chọn cho lắm vì phía trước bãi biển chỉ có tổng cộng khoảng 05 cái nhà nghỉ và khách sạn mini. Còn lại là resort với giá rất cao.

Dưới đây là một số địa chỉ mà mình đã tìm hiểu được:

- Đầu tiên có thể kể đến nhà khách PHI YẾN (Điện thoại: [phone]), một địa chỉ lâu năm. Vì đã hoạt động từ rất lâu nên cũng nhà khách này cũng rất cũ rồi. Giá phòng đơn là 350k/đêm, phòng đôi là 450k/đêm. Nhà khách này nằm ở vị trí thoáng đãng ngay đường Tôn Đức Thắng nhìn thẳng ra biển. Khuôn viên ở đây rộng nên cũng có cả quán ăn, bán cơm, mì, phở, hủ tíu... Mình thấy buổi sáng người dân cũng đến đây ăn, còn trưa và tối thì ít.

- Kế đến là nhà nghỉ THANH XUÂN (Điện thoại: [phone]). Chỉ cách PHI YẾN vài căn nhà, cũng nằm trên đường Tôn Đức Thắng nhìn ra biển.

- Cách vài nhà nữa là đến nhà nghỉ THANH NGỌC (Điện thoại: [phone]). Cũng nằm trên đường Tôn Đức Thắng nhé.

- Cùng một dãy này còn có nhà nghỉ BA ĐOÀN (Điện thoại: [phone]). Lúc mình gọi hỏi thì được báo giá là 250k-300k/phòng 2 người. Rẻ nhất trong các nhà nghỉ nhưng lại đang sửa chữa nên không đón khách. Không biết là sau khi sửa chữa thì có lên giá ko.

- Đi hết đường Tôn Đức Thắng là đến đường Nguyễn Đức Thuận cũng hướng ra biển. Có khách sạn THIỆN TÂN. Khách sạn này nằm "sát vách" resort Côn Đảo Camping nên cũng được hưởng một khúc bãi biển riêng mà giá lại là giá nhà nghỉ.

- Ngoài những nhà nghỉ trên trục đường Tôn Đức Thắng hướng biển, còn có resort. Nhưng mình không tham khảo giá những nơi này vì thấy giá khá cao. Chỉ trừ một resort có giá được xem là mềm nhất với khung cảnh đẹp và bãi biển riêng. Phòng nghỉ theo dạng bungalow. Đó là CÔN ĐẢO CAMPING

Đây là phần bãi biển riêng từ Côn Đảo Camping kéo dài đến các resort khác (khách sạn Thiên Tân cũng được hưởng một khúc này).







Trước khi vào phần kế tiếp thì mình muốn nói rõ hơn về các điểm resort và khách sạn để các bạn cân nhắc lựa chọn. Bản thân mình trước khi đi cũng đã rất phân vân, nhưng do đi vào mùa thấp điểm nên mình ra đó rồi mới đi tìm nơi nghỉ chứ không đặt trước.

Về giá cả, một điều rất chắc chắn là khách sạn, nhà nghỉ nào cũng đưa ra mức 350k-450k/phòng 2 người vì đó là giá chung của cả đảo rồi. Theo như mình biết thì đảo phải tự phát điện, và nhà máy điện chạy máy phát bằng dầu nên chi phí rất cao. Mình có hỏi qua vài người thì biết trung bình mỗi nhà phải tốn cả triệu đồng tiền điện/tháng. Giá điện tầm khoảng 8.000/Kw thì giá phòng cũng khó lòng rẻ hơn dù mình đã đi vào mùa thấp điểm. Ở Côn Đảo, nằm chết dí ở khách sạn là việc buồn chán nhất vì ti vi không xem được gì, trên đảo vẫn còn dùng truyền hình kỹ thuật số nên tín hiệu lúc rõ lúc không. Trời mưa là tín hiệu giật giật như đang xem phim trên Internet mà bị nghẽn mạng vậy.

Quay lại chuyện vị trí của các khách sạn, nhà nghỉ, resort. Có thể xem trục đường Tôn Đức Thắng là trục đường đẹp nhất trên Côn Đảo, chính là con đường trong tấm hình đầu tiên của bài, một bên là biển, một bên là hàng cây bàng cổ thụ. Trên tuyến đường này có các khách sạn, resort sau:

- Nhà khách PHI YẾN
- Nhà nghỉ THANH XUÂN
- Nhà nghỉ BA ĐOÀN
- Nhà nghỉ THANH NGỌC

4. ĂN GÌ Ở CÔN ĐẢO

Đầu tiên, mình lưu ý là đồ ăn ở Côn Đảo không hề rẻ chút nào. Các quán ăn bình dân cũng tầm 25k/món trở lên. Mặc dù trên đảo cũng có trồng trọt và chăn nuôi nhưng người ta vẫn phải lấy hàng từ đất liền ra. Tất nhiên là phải vận chuyển theo tàu, và thời gian từ đất liền ra đảo cỡ 12 tiếng nên chi phí xăng dầu đẩy giá cả ngoài này tăng rất cao.

Thứ hai là đồ ăn ở Côn Đảo không đa dạng như trong đất liền, nên các bạn sẽ không có nhiều lựa chọn khi đi ăn. Đồ ăn không đặc sắc nhưng cũng không dở. Nói chung là có thể ăn cho đầy bụng có sức đi chơi.

Các quán ăn Côn Đảo đều cho trà đá miễn phí, mình đi ăn đều thấy hầu hết các quán có ca trà đá thật to để sẵn trên mỗi bàn. Nếu không thấy thì các bạn cứ yêu cầu ca trà đá và mấy cái ly, vẫn free nhé!

ĂN SÁNG: có bánh mì, cơm tấm, bún thịt nướng, bánh ướt, cháo, phở, mì, hủ tíu... Nói chung là những món ăn sáng phổ biến thì ở Côn Đảo cũng có. Giá trung bình 25k-30k/tô hoặc dĩa.
- Chợ Côn Đảo: có bán hầu hết các món ăn sáng nêu trên. Bánh mì bán ở ngoài chợ, rất dễ thấy. Nhưng nhìn không hấp dẫn lắm. Còn các món khác thì phải vào nhà lồng trong chợ mới gặp. Và các hàng ăn cũng chỉ bán đúng buổi sáng thôi.
