Seimens/Klangfilm - What are these things?

Hey all,

Bought this ugly little set of speakers at an auction last weekend, and from what I can tell they are from a Siemens 2000 home projector setup. I have been able to find out very little about them, but I think I know enough after finding one webpage that the drivers are most likely Isophon P25 woofers. Can anybody here tell me anything else?

One last bump to see if anyone can let me know anything about these. Had to disassemble one side to diagnose a connection issue. I'm almost 100% sure what I have is a couple of P25 Isophon 10" drivers but I have no idea on the tweeter/mid speaker. They sound....interesting.

These are definitely Isophones, 10" must be P25, 12" would be the P30 and the tweeter is the HM10. I also had this combo few years ago, bought it for the famous Klangfilm name and discovered Isophones in it, sold it few days later...bad idea :(
These are real keepers, Isophon is really underrated company which for my ears made better sounding speakers than Siemens. I had the famous (and expensive) Klangfilm 407 9" fullranges last years, tried them in open baffles and resos, very good sounding but nothing special. Isophon OTOH are quite cheap and sound just heavenly, mcuh more musical than hard sounding Siemens, the midrange is really to die for.
Keep them, they really sing if you use them properly...

Awesome...Thanks for the info Derik. I need to fire them up with the little EL84 tube amp I just rebuilt before I decide if they stay or go. I was wondering about the tweeters and you helped me out big time. Now for more reading ;)

Here you can download ALL Isophon catalogues since the 1930s, some of them are in English. I suggest you to download this one: Handelsprogramm 1963
On the page 04/05 there are few projects with all data you need to build speakers.
Vorschlag 2 says you can build a speakers uisng yours, which covers the frequency between 45-17000Khz, P25 runs fullrange and the tweeter with 4uf capacitor. Enclosure of 100L (3cu. ft), bassreflex of about 150cm². These are 8 - 10 watt

I attached the picture of this catalogue. You could add the P30 woofer for more buttom and build the Vorschlag 4 for more power
