Today, I am going to review a face wash from The Body Shop Vitamin E range. I feel that whether you go out or are inside the close sanctuary of your house, a face wash is necessary because dirt and grime get accumulated even in the confines of a house. I had heard a lot about their Vitamin E range and have used their cream exfoliator and moisture cream from the same range before and was quite satisfied with the results. On my next trip, when the SA showed me this face wash, I instantly picked it up. Let’s see how it turned out.

The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial wash is a creamy skin-caring daily cleansing formula with built in antioxidant protection. It is formulated to rinse away make-up and impurities and is suitable for all skin types.

Product and Packaging:

This face wash comes in a pink colored tube just like the other products from this range. The flip open tube packaging makes it spill proof and travel friendly. The consistency is thick and creamy and has a mild fragrance similar to the day and night creams from “The Body Shop Vitamin E” range.

Directions For Use:

Wet the face with clean water. Squeeze a small amount from the tube and rub together between your palms to create lather. Massage onto the face and neck using your fingertips. Rinse off with clean water and pat skin dry.

My Take on The Body Shop Vitamin E Gentle Facial Wash:

I have been using this face wash for the past three months now and on a regular basis. The first instant when I squeezed the tube what came out from the tube was a thick lotion and I just wasn’t sure about it, but when applied onto the face, it gave a very light feeling and I am really happy about this.

It does not lather much although it states to do so when it comes in contact with the skin. My skin is of the dry to normal combination type and this face wash hasn’t made my face dry even during these winters. During summers, it gives an almost moisturized feel, but I still prefer to apply moisturizer on a regular basis, habit I guess. I like its creamy formula and with the amount that is required its going to last me another month, so absolute value for money. Although it claims to remove makeup, I haven’t seen it work along these lines except in case of those that are non-waterproof. This is not a major concern for me as I prefer to use a cleanser before to ensure that my skin is absolutely clean.

Absolutely, as it is a gentle face wash and ideal for my skin. I would also recommend this to others. The price is a bit on the higher side for a face wash, but the amount required makes up for it.
