Sub-section: Sucker Pruning/ desuckering Effective date: 1/8/15

2. Objective:
To ensure unwanted suckers are properly remove and proper selection of effective producing unit for production and seedling for replanting.
3.Scope:
This work instructions define the action and responsibilities of worker/farmers in sucker pruning or desuckering.
4.Work instruction:
-Prepare the following tools and materials;
Pruning bolo/ desuckering equipment
Disinfectant solution (chlorine 30gms/ liter water)
Sharpening stone
-Go to the farm assign for sucker pruning.
-Select 1 follower/ sucker for production in every mother plant (vogor, big corm and sword like leaves sucker)
-Remove unwanted suckers.
-Allow the sword sucker to grow 1:1 or 1:2 for replanting purposes (mortality if any)
-Farmers/ worker analyse well where to grow the sucker for production unit (side or back)
-The follower/sucker should have distance from the mother for good growth and development
-Mother plants which have adjacent mortality stem could leave 2 suckers for replanting and for producing unit.
-When transfering to another mat/stem disinfect the sucker pruning equipment
-Maintain plants population/ha
-Avoid placing the removed stems/ suckers on the base of the plant for fertilization purposes.
-Farmers/ workers should analysed well if there are stems to be replace which are physically poor, very small plant, sickly/ poor growth and development.
-Repeat procedures on the next mat/ stem until area is funlly finished sucker pruning.
-Report accomplishment to the supervisor

-GO农场的分配吸盘修剪。
-选择1追随者/吸盘用于生产的每一个母亲厂（ vogor，大球茎和剑状叶吸盘）
-删除不必要的吸盘。
-ALLOW剑吸盘成长1：1或1：2的补植目的（死亡如有）
-Farmers /工人以及分析，其中增长的吸盘生产单元（侧面或背面）
-The跟随/吸盘应该有来自母亲的良好的生长和发育的距离
-Mother具有相邻的死亡率干可以离开2吸盘补种和生产设备厂。
-当转流至另一垫/干消毒吸盘修剪设备
-Maintain植物种群/公顷
-避免放置去除茎/吸盘工厂的基础施肥的目的上。
-Farmers /工人应分析好，如果有茎须更换哪个是身体差，很小的工厂，体弱多病/穷人的经济增长和发展。
在接下来的垫/干-重复过程，直至面积funlly成品吸盘修剪。
