Lệnh cấm người nhiễm HIV tồn tại 20 năm qua vừa được Bộ Y tế Singapore gỡ bỏ, đồng thời nước này cho phép họ lưu trú tối đa 3 tháng.
Bộ Y tế cho biết lệnh cấm được gỡ bỏ trong bối cảnh hơn 5.000 người Singapore hiện đang sống chung với HIV và phương pháp điều trị căn bệnh này đã hiệu quả hơn. Thời hạn lưu trú tối đa 3 tháng nhằm ngăn ngừa việc cư trú dài hạn của người nước ngoài đến làm việc hay học tập ở Singapore.
