Tháng 8/2015, Trường có bước chuyển mình quan trọng khi chính thức được Bộ Giáo dục và Đào tạo cho phép tuyển sinh các ngành Sau đại học. Nâng quy mô đào tạo của nhà trường lên 18.000 học viên, sinh viên học tập và nghiên cứu ở 6 ngành sau đại học, 26 ngành đại học, 6 ngành cao đẳng thuộc các lĩnh vực kinh tế, kỹ thuật, khoa học tự nhiên, khoa học xã hội nhân văn và sư phạm.
